Terms and Conditions

  1. This Campaign is held by True Money Malaysia Sdn.Bhd. By participating in this Campaign, users (TrueMoney Malaysia Wallet application users) hereby agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  2. These Terms and Conditions shall be read together with True Money’s Terms of Services , The Campaign Terms and Conditions as well as True Money’s Privacy Policy and Statement.
  3. Should a conflict or inconsistency arise between these Terms and Conditions, such conflict or inconsistency shall be resolved by giving precedence in the following decreasing order (i) This Terms and Conditions; (ii) The Campaign Terms and Conditions; and (iii) True Money Terms of Services.
  4. True Money reserves the right to forfeit any of the offers/prizes for this Campaign if the user has breached any of the Terms and Conditions as mentioned above.

Campaign Period

  1. Campaign Period is valid from 02 November 2023 with a total Campaign cashback of up to RM7,200, which is limited to the first two hundred (200) new customers. Terms and conditions apply.
  2. The Organiser may at its sole and absolute discretion change the Campaign Period at any time without any prior notice.

Eligibility

  1. Eligibility is as per below:
    1. All True Money users with an upgraded account (completed eKYC)
    2. Open to True Money customers (“member”), the member’s legal spouse aged between nineteen (19) to sixty (60) years next birthday and member’s *children aged between thirty (30) days to nineteen (19) or twenty-three (23) years next birthday for full-time students. *This only applies to unmarried and unemployed children.
    3. Customers who purchase a Great Eastern policy for third parties will not be eligible to participate in this Campaign. The purchase should only be done as mentioned in 7(b).

Campaign Mechanism

  1. TrueMoney Wallet users who purchase Group Multiple Benefits Insurance Scheme (GMBIS) by Great Eastern Life Assurance (Malaysia) Berhad will be entitled for a cashback of RM36 (1st month’s premium) in terms of TrueMoney credit of the aforementioned policy.
  2. Customers that are entitled for this campaign will be credited with the cashback amount through the TrueMoney Wallet.
  3. The entitlement to the cashback will only be valid if the assurance is in-force within thirty (30) days once the first monthly premium has been made by the Customer, and is not terminated during the free-look period, terminated with refund of premium, surrendered or lapsed for any reason whatsoever, either voluntarily or involuntarily.
  4. Each Eligible Customer is only entitled to receive a maximum of one (1) cashback during the Campaign Period.
  5. In the event that the Eligible Customer adds his/her dependents (legal spouse and child) to his/her assurance under the GMBIS, the Eligible Customer, his/her spouse and child will be eligible for the cashback.
  6. The Campaign is only valid for purchases:
    1. via the TrueMoney Wallet through the ‘Insurance’ tile on the Homepage
    2. via the direct e-mail link sent to users regarding the GMBIS partnership promotion with TrueMoney Malaysia
  7. For customers who purchase the GMBIS through the direct e-mail link sent, customers must also register for a TrueMoney Wallet( and complete e-kyc) to receive the cashback.
  8. The RM36 cashback reward of the 1-month premium will be credited to the customer’s TrueMoney Wallet account within 60 working days after the successful purchase of the GMBIS.
  9. Customers will be notified via a TrueMoney Wallet in-app notification once the cashback is being credited.
  10. This Promotion is not exchangeable or replaceable for cash.
  11. True Money only confirms the applicability of The Campaign Mechanics. All other product related Terms and Conditions are governed by Great Eastern Life Assurance (Malaysia) Berhad.

GMBIS FAQ
Q: Does this policy include coverage for medical and treatment expenses in hospitals?
A: No, this policy is not a medical card hence the customer will not be covered for medical and hospital treatments.
However, there is a hospitalization benefit (hospital income) included under this policy whereby the customer may claim RM 60 daily hospital cash allowance (for illness) & RM90 (for accident) up to 500 days per lifetime. 

Q: I have an existing insurance policy with GELM or other insurers. Should I sign up for this policy, can I submit a claim for both?
A: The payout for the coverage will be payable as long as the claim submitted meets the definition of the covered events included in this policy.

Q: What will happen to my spouse and children’s (dependent) policies once the Assured Member’s policy is terminated due to a covered event?
A; The policy for the customer’s dependents may still continue provided that the premium continues to be paid (renewal). Dependents are required to update the Payer’s details.

Q: Will the Company pay the full Death Benefit if the customer Commits Suicide?
A: The company will pay full Death Benefit due to suicide occurring after twelve (12) months from the commencement of the assurance. The policy does not cover for suicide within twelve (12) months from the commencement of the assurance

Q: My child is Autistic. Can my purchase include my child in the policy?
A: Yes, the customer can extend the coverage to the child.

Q: If I was diagnosed with lung cancer before (pre-existing conditions), can I be covered under this scheme and what benefits will I be covered?
A: Yes, the customer may still apply for the plan. However, he/she will not be covered for any cancer-related illnesses.

Q: If I am diagnosed with a heart attack within 61 – 180 days from the date of policy in-forced, will I be entitled to claim the benefit?
A: The customer will be entitled to claim a maximum of 50% of the coverage due to the waiting period imposed.

Q: After I withdrew the investment value in my plan, will I still be entitled to the insurance coverage?
A: Yes, the customer will still be covered under the insurance plan even though the withdrawal is activated. However, this is not encouraged as it may affect the overall investment value of the scheme.

Q: If the customer leaves his/her current company, can he/she still continue this plan?
A: Yes, this is a portable insurance plan whereby the customer will still be covered even after he/she has left or retired from the company.

Q: The customer is a contractor. If the customer lose an arm due to an accident which resulted in him being unable to work, how much would he/she be covered for?
A: The customer will be entitled to claim a maximum of RM60,000 under the Total and Permanent Disability (TPD) benefit.

Q: Is this policy eligible for tax deduction?
A: Yes. GMBIS is eligible for tax deduction (under the life/medical insurance portion).
