Kindly read this Product Disclosure Sheet and the Terms & Conditions before using TrueMoney eWallet.

  1. What is this product about?TrueMoney is an electronic wallet that allows users to make cashless and cardless transactions. Users are required to reload the wallet prior to making any payments or transfers. Below are some of the services offered to bring convenience to users.
    • Online and offline payment to merchants
    • Bill payment and credit top up
    • Peer to peer transfer

     

  2. What is the age requirement?Users must be 18 years of age or above. For those users who are less than 18 years old, kindly ensure that you have obtained consent from your parent or legal guardian before registering. Upon registration, it will be deemed that such consent has been obtained.

    Note : For minors who may register an account with TrueMoney and use the services with the consent of their parent or their legal guardian, the parent and legal guardian shall be fully responsible for the minor’s usage.

  3. What are the key terms of this product?
    • Users can download this product through Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
    • Mobile devices must meet the minimum operating system (Android and iOS) requirements to download and use this product.
    • Mobile devices used must not be illegally modified devices, for instance, jailbroken or rooted.
    • Documents may be requested from time to time when it is necessary to adhere to BNM guidelines.
    • Users need to create a 6-digit PIN (Personal Identification Number) for security purposes as it is required for any payments.
    • Users must protect their 6-digit PIN without revealing it to others at all times.
    • Users are not allowed to use this product for purposes associating to any unlawful and / or fraudulent activities.
    • Users must ensure sufficient balance in the eWallet account prior to making any payment.
    • Users cannot reload the wallet more than the wallet size.
    • For account termination, users will receive their remaining balance upon termination within 14 working days.
    • TrueMoney has the right to block, suspend, revoke and/or terminate of users’ account if users contravene, breach or fail to abide by any of TrueMoney’s Terms and Conditions.
    • TrueMoney has the right to disqualify users’ eligibility and entitlement of any promotions, campaigns and rewards if users contravene, breach or fail to abide by any of TrueMoney’s Terms and Conditions.
    • TrueMoney has the right to amend, revise, change, withdraw, substitute or remove any of the terms and conditions governing the use of TrueMoney eWallet. Any of such amendments will take into effect 21 days after they are posted in TrueMoney eWallet or TrueMoney website.
    • Account ownership is non-transferable as it is exclusively to the user.

  4. What are the major risks?
    • User’s 6-digit PIN is disclosed to or known by unauthorised person.
    • User’s phone is stolen or lost. 
    • Exposure to cyber risk that may cause a user’s phone to be hacked.

     

    To mitigate the above risks, users are advised:-

    1. Not to disclose their 6-digit PIN to any parties.
    2. To keep their phones safe from theft
    3. To always use the latest TrueMoney app version.
    4. To avoid using unsecured public networks.
